We cause quite a stir (no pun intended!) when we go out for dinner. We're not sure if it is the 4 blonde kids, our poor chopstick technique, or our use of Chinese (well, Jim's Chinese, as the rest of us are still playing "charades" to communicate most days!).

Happy Meals with Olympic characters! We are very aware the Olympics will be this week in Beijing. Displays, commercials, songs, souvenirs, news reports, etc.


Why we are here! We visited Dad at work on Thursday. He can be "out of uniform" on Fridays only.


Safety goggles required to tour the manufacturing floor. Jim has snazzy clips for his glasses that are the envy of all the engineers and technicians...he's such a trendsetter!


Dad never rides in the back seat at home! We may forget how to drive. We've had enough near misses and one little bump that I have no desire to get behind the wheel.
